Once upon a time, words seemed simple. A is for apple and apples are good.​
But over time, the stakes got higher.​

I remember applying for colleges, hopeful that my words would be good enough and worried that they wouldn't be.​

I found myself writing scholarships, final papers, resumes, cover letters, grant applications, and newsletters.
It's like I was learning to dance, but every song was different and there were few people to teach me the steps. ​​​
